What QueerFriends is, who it serves, and what makes the community different.

What is QueerFriends?
QueerFriends is a friendship-first LGBTQ+ community designed to help people make genuine friends, join interest-based groups, discover events, share conversations, and feel more connected to their local and broader community.
Is QueerFriends a dating website?
No. QueerFriends is centered on friendship, community, shared interests, groups, activities, and meaningful connections rather than dating.
Who can join QueerFriends?
QueerFriends is built primarily for LGBTQ+ people. Respectful allies who support the community and follow our standards are also welcome.
Where is QueerFriends based?
QueerFriends is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The platform is being built to support members and communities across the United States, with room to grow over time.
What makes QueerFriends different?
QueerFriends combines friendship-focused member discovery, community groups, local events, creative visibility, thoughtful safety systems, and a modern member experience in one place.

Founding Membership

What is a Founding Member?
A Founding Member is one of the first 5,000 people to reserve membership and help establish the QueerFriends community before its public launch.
What do Founding Members receive?
Founding Members receive 24 months of all Premium features at no cost, a lifetime Founding Member badge, founder-only perks, early updates, and the opportunity to help shape the future of QueerFriends.
Is the Founding Member offer really free?
Yes. The first 5,000 eligible Founding Members receive two years of Premium access without a membership charge.
Does the Founding Member badge expire?
No. The Founding Member badge is intended to remain permanently connected to the member’s account as recognition for joining early.
How do I reserve Founding Membership?
Visit the Founding Membership page and submit your email address. Follow any confirmation instructions sent to your inbox.
Can the same person reserve more than one spot?
Founding Membership is intended for individual people, with one reservation per person and email address.

Accounts & Profiles

Profile setup, identity, visibility, and member account basics.

What information can I add to my profile?
Members can share a profile photo, cover image, short bio, location, interests, personality details, friendship preferences, personal links, photos, and other information they choose to make visible.
Do I need to use my full legal name?
Members should represent themselves honestly, though QueerFriends does not require everyone to publicly display a full legal name. Your chosen profile name should not impersonate another person or mislead the community.
Can I control who sees my information?
Yes. Available profile and privacy controls allow members to manage the visibility of certain information and decide what they are comfortable sharing.
Can I edit my profile later?
Yes. Members can update profile details, interests, photos, preferences, links, and other editable information from their account.
Can I delete my account?
Members will be able to request account deletion through the available account or support process. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.

What kinds of groups can members join?
Groups may be based on interests, hobbies, identity, location, age range, culture, activities, professional interests, wellness, volunteering, or other community topics.
Can members create their own groups?
QueerFriends is designed to support member-created groups. Group creation tools, limits, moderation requirements, and advanced creator features may depend on membership level and launch stage.
What kinds of events will be listed?
Events may include casual meetups, Pride activities, workshops, arts events, support gatherings, volunteer opportunities, nightlife, community programs, and other LGBTQ+ experiences.
What is What’s Happening?
What’s Happening helps members discover LGBTQ+ events, activities, organizations, and local experiences. It may include both member-created events and curated community listings.
Does QueerFriends organize every listed event?
No. Some events may be organized by members, community partners, businesses, nonprofits, or external organizations. Always review the event details, organizer information, policies, and safety considerations before attending.

How QueerFriends helps members meet people and build genuine relationships.

How does QueerFriends help me find friends?
Members can discover people through profiles, shared interests, location, groups, events, conversations, community activity, and future friendship-matching features.
Are friendship matches guaranteed?
No platform can guarantee that every connection will become a friendship. QueerFriends provides tools and opportunities that make it easier to discover compatible people and interact meaningfully.
Can I message other members?
Standard member messaging is intended to remain part of the core QueerFriends experience. Messaging access may still be subject to member privacy settings, blocks, safety controls, and platform rules.
What if someone does not want to connect?
Respect their decision. Members should not repeatedly contact, pressure, follow, or pursue someone who has declined interaction or asked for space.

Reporting, blocking, moderation, scams, and community protection.

How does QueerFriends help keep members safe?
QueerFriends uses community standards, member reporting, blocking controls, automated safety systems, scam detection, documented moderation, and human judgment when appropriate.
How do I report a member or content?
Use the available report option on the relevant profile, post, comment, message, image, group, or event. Provide enough detail to help the safety team understand what occurred.
Can I block another member?
Yes. Blocking is intended to stop unwanted interaction and help members control who can contact or engage with them.
Does QueerFriends use AI moderation?
QueerFriends may use automated tools to help detect harmful content, scams, threats, harassment, spam, and other safety risks. Significant or context-dependent decisions may receive additional review.
What actions can QueerFriends take?
Depending on the circumstances, QueerFriends may take no action, provide education, issue a warning, remove content, limit visibility, restrict features, suspend an account, or remove an account.

How member information, reports, and visibility are handled.

Is my profile visible to everyone?
Visibility may depend on the page, your privacy choices, whether a visitor is signed in, and the public-access features available at the time. Members should review their profile settings carefully.
Does QueerFriends sell personal information?
QueerFriends is not built around selling member identity or personal information. Full details about collection, use, retention, and disclosure will be provided in the Privacy Policy.
Will someone know that I reported them?
QueerFriends does not publicly identify the person who submitted a report. Reporter information is handled with discretion.
Does QueerFriends read private messages?
Private-message safety review should be limited, purpose-driven, and governed by the platform’s safety and privacy policies. Automated or manual review may occur when necessary to investigate reports, detect severe risks, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

What is a QueerFriends Community Partner?
A Community Partner is an LGBTQ+ organization, Pride group, nonprofit, community center, initiative, club, or aligned organization that works with QueerFriends to strengthen community visibility and connection.
Does it cost anything to become a partner?
No. There is no cost to apply for or participate in the Founding Community Partner program.
What benefits do partners receive?
Benefits may include an organization profile, event visibility through What’s Happening, Creative Spotlight opportunities, cross-promotion, Founding Partner recognition, and future organization-focused tools.
Are partners required to promote QueerFriends?
There is no formal advertising requirement. Partners are asked to share QueerFriends when they believe the community and Founding Member opportunity would benefit their audience.
How does an organization apply?
Visit the Community Partners page and submit the application form.

Premium Features

What will remain free and what may be included in paid membership.

Will QueerFriends be free to use?
Yes. Core community access is intended to remain free, including safety features, accessibility, standard messaging, normal event discovery, joining groups, and basic member search.
What kinds of features may require Premium?
Planned Premium features may include advanced member discovery, weekly friendship matches, Premium lounges, enhanced profile customization, additional media, Travel Mode, early event access, partner discounts, creator tools, and personalized connection support.
Will safety or accessibility be locked behind a paywall?
No. Core safety, accessibility, blocking, reporting, and essential community protections should remain available to all members.
How much will Premium cost?
Final public pricing has not yet been announced. Founding Members will receive 24 months of all Premium features at no cost.

Launch & Availability

When QueerFriends is expected to open and what happens before launch.

When will QueerFriends launch?
QueerFriends is preparing for a public launch in Fall 2026. Timing may be adjusted as testing, safety validation, member readiness, and final platform work are completed.
Can I create a full member profile right now?
Access may be limited during the pre-launch period. Founding Membership reservations and selected testing may open before the complete community becomes publicly available.
How will I know when QueerFriends opens?
Confirmed Founding Members and subscribers will receive launch updates and instructions by email.
Will QueerFriends launch everywhere at once?
QueerFriends may emphasize selected communities and regions first so local groups, events, organizations, and member activity feel useful from the beginning.
