About QueerFriends

Built for friendship.
Made for us.

QueerFriends was created for LGBTQ+ people who want more than scrolling, swiping, and surface-level connection. It is a place to meet people through shared interests, local events, groups, conversations, and real community.

Our Story

Sometimes finding your people should not feel so hard.

QueerFriends began with a simple truth: a lot of LGBTQ+ people want community, but the internet does not always make friendship feel easy, safe, or natural.

The problem was never a lack of people.

There are queer people everywhere who want coffee friends, hiking friends, movie friends, game-night friends, creative friends, and people to share life with. The problem is that most platforms are built around dating, performance, popularity, or endless scrolling.

We wanted something warmer.

A place where friendship is the point. A place where showing up is easier. A place where people can find groups, join events, start conversations, and build real-life connection without feeling like they have to impress anyone.

So we started building it.

QueerFriends is designed to grow from the ground up with its members. The goal is not to look crowded before it is ready. The goal is to create something honest, useful, welcoming, and worth belonging to.

Why We Created It

Because friendship deserves its own place.

Dating apps serve dating. Social media serves attention. QueerFriends is being built for belonging, shared interests, and everyday community.

Connection should feel natural.

The easiest friendships often start with something simple: coffee, a walk, a movie, a book, a hobby, or a shared curiosity.

🫶

Community should feel safe.

QueerFriends is built around respect, inclusion, reporting tools, and a culture that puts member comfort first.

Belonging should be easier.

New members should not have to guess where to begin. Groups, interests, events, and profiles make the first step clearer.

What We Believe

A better community starts with better values.

QueerFriends is not trying to be another noisy social network. It is being shaped around the kind of online space people actually want to return to.

Friendship is enough.

Not every queer platform needs to be about dating, hookups, or performance.

Small beginnings matter.

Every strong community starts with a few people willing to show up first.

Real life still matters.

Online tools should help people meet, gather, talk, laugh, and build memories offline too.

Everyone deserves a softer landing.

Joining a new community should feel welcoming, not intimidating.

The Founding Moment

QueerFriends is just getting started.

That is part of what makes this moment special. Early members help shape the tone, energy, groups, events, and culture of the community from the beginning.

This is not about joining something finished. It is about helping build something that could matter.

Come help build the community you wish existed.

Join QueerFriends as a founding member and help create a warmer, safer, more joyful place for LGBTQ+ friendship.
